Bedroom Makeover

When we moved into this house they'd made an adorable room for their little girl. Although very cute, it just didn't suit our needs so we decided to repaint with a bright cheery peach:

I love how bright it made it!

Message Center

I have seen a lot of pinterest ideas for these dry erase boards on frames. I bought the frame for $1 at the Dollar Tree and I had the paper and pen on hand. Easy peasy.

Kitchen Bling

It is important to clean your walls thoroughly, especially in a kitchen where it collects dirt and grease, before applying a vinyl decal. This particular decal didn't last, but it was a nice thought =]

Chocolate Roll

This is our family's favorite desert. It's light and fluffy, but oh so bad for you. Tastes delicious and gluten free!

Candy Corn Cupcakes

Another day, another request from coworkers on what to bake. I'm not sure what it is about taking requests for baking that screws me up, but I always have some sort of error. This time around it happened to be the amount of batter I was putting into my cups causing them to flow up and out of the liners. I was doing a thin layer of the yellow and having a hard time getting the orange to layer in properly. I think they rose out of the liners a little differently than normal due to the extra moisture from the gel coloring.

They taste delicious aside from the actual candy corn on top. I can't believe people eat that stuff!

Brownie Cookie pie

At work we have what we call treat day Friday. A few weeks ago I was asked to make brownie cookie cups for my assigned day and I sure did try. I got everything together in my cupcake tins as per normal and put them in to bake. When I pulled them out of the oven the brownie top was burnt and all of the oil from the brownies had sunk to the bottom of the tin. No bueno... I thought I would give it one more shot and try it in pie form.

The pie turned out great, but I had to try a piece before bringing it in to work for my coworkers. Ghetto I know to have a slice out of a pie you're feeding to people, but seriously the first try was such a flop that I wasn't taking any chances. One thing I should mention is that I added Reeses peanut butter cups between the cookie and brownie layers and it was delicious!

First wall art with the Silhouette for the bathroom:

A little grounding reminder when I'm getting my vanity on.
